To highlight the importance of road safety, during Road Safety Week in November 2007, Arval held a re-enactment of a road traffic crash that showed the potentially fatal results of common errors behind the wheel.
The 'Crash' event, involved participation from the county’s emergency services and local college students, took place on Thursday 8th November. It re-created a 35mph crash involving three car passengers and a cyclist, showing the shocking outcomes of basic behind-the-wheel errors which compromise safety, failing to wear a seat belt, using a mobile phone whilst driving, breaking the speed limit and failing to wear a helmet when cycling.

We also include footage from the national road safety charity Brake's, Too Young to Die DVD, which tells several personal and tragic stories about what is the reality of road death and injury. For more details on Brake go to their website www.brake.org.uk.
